Our History
Hadrian Meat Co is run by the Matthews family from their farm in Northumberland. With a farming background since the early 80’s when they farmed sheep and cattle on the Hadrian’s Wall, this way of life has been in their blood. Their passion and dedication for producing the highest quality produce was discovered when Tommy and Anna Matthews had children. They realised that what was available on the supermarket shelves didn’t meet the standards of quality they wanted.
And so, Hadrian Meat Co was born, out of the need to help their kids grow and develop into healthy, happy humans. Their farm, with its pedigree heard of Belted Galloway Cattle, rare-breed pigs and pasture first hens now provide the highest quality produce through the on farm butchery. Serving the local community via collection and delivery service, whilst also shipping to the rest of the UK to allow many more people to benefit from the quality that this family farm provides.
